A new gateway location for Melbourne, Merrifield is situated on the north-west corner of the Hume Freeway and Donnybrook Road in Mickleham - only 30 kilometres north of the Melbourne CBD.
Merrifield’s location is enhanced by its excellent infrastructure and transport links providing easy and efficient connections to Victoria’s major road, rail, bus, port and air facilities.
The existing and planned transport infrastructure in the region means Merrifield will enjoy and prosper from uncongested access to:
- Melbourne Airport
- Melbourne’s ring road network - including the existing Metropolitan and Western Ring Roads and the planned Outer Metropolitan Ring road
- Metropolitan, regional and interstate rail services
Direct freeway access is currently available via the Donnybrook Road and Hume Freeway interchange, whilst freeway access to the site will be further enhanced with the proposed Donnybrook Road and Aitken Boulevard interchanges with the planned Outer Metropolitan Ring.
Merrifield and the broader corridor is also being planned to ensure connection to high capacity public transport and arterial road networks that service Melbourne’s growing northern region.
