Looking Ahead to 2026

As the year draws to a close, we’re pleased to provide an update on upcoming site activity, with early civil works proposed to commence in January 2026. In preparation, you may notice increased activity and equipment on site. Civil works will include:

• Early earthworks, which will prepare the site for construction
• Establishing stormwater, sewer and water connections
• Delivery of road and pavement upgrades
• Electrical works

The works by MAB’s civil contractors will be undertaken with strict environmental management measures, which are in place to minimise any potential impacts on the surrounding community.

Site Remediation

During 2025, we completed remediation works and we thank everyone in the community for their patience and understanding during the process.

The Independent Auditor is currently preparing the Site Contamination Audit Report.

As part of our commitment to managing the remediation, we commissioned the Independent Auditor to undertake a retrospective Tier 1 Human Health Risk Assessment – Air Quality report.

The report concluded that remediation activities conducted at the former Brompton Gasworks site were unlikely to pose an unacceptable air quality risk to human health within the surrounding environment.

Office Closure

MAB will be taking a short break over the Christmas period, with offices closed from 24 December, re-opening 5 January.
