Supporting the Creative Community
HousingFirst Annual Art Exhibition
Project Overview
In 2022, MAB partnered with HousingFirst to support its Annual Art Exhibition, Recalibrate. This initiative provided housing residents with the opportunity to participate in a series of artist-led workshops, equipping residents with the resources, skills, and support to create artworks that express their personal stories and creativity.
The program culminated with a public exhibition at Gasworks Arts Park, where the residents’ artworks were showcased to the wider community. The exhibition was well attended and received strong positive feedback, with many meaningful outcomes for the participating artists.
MAB continued its support of this impactful initiative through subsequent exhibitions, including the 10th anniversary celebration in 2023 and Doable in 2024, hosted at the newly established Doable Gallery – a purpose-built arts space located at Oakover Road, Preston Crossing.
This partnership highlights MAB’s commitment to creating inclusive communities and supporting initiatives that foster creative expression and social connection.
