MAB to drive growth in residential development with appointment of Kevin Hunt
MAB Corporation (MAB) today, announced Kevin Hunt has joined the Executive team to grow the residential portfolio within MAB’s property development business.
Kevin was previously Chief Executive Officer of Mirvac Victoria (from 1994) and responsible for establishing the Mirvac brand and development business in Melbourne. During this period, Kevin was instrumental in planning and delivering numerous successful landmark projects including, Beacon Cove, SY21, The Melburnian, Yarra’s Edge, Waverley Gardens and The Heath. Kevin has an unrivalled track record in planning and delivering residential developments and is a recognised leader in this field. Kevin Hunt said, “Residential is where my passion lies – I have taken this unique opportunity to further expand a Melbourne-centric property group that has a track record in delivering leading-edge residential developments. “I am looking forward to working with Guy and the Senior Managers to add value to an existing strong team” said Mr Hunt. MAB’s COO, Guy Pahor said, “Not withstanding the current uncertainties in the global economy, the underlying fundamentals of the housing market remain compelling. “With current vacancy rates at 1.5% and a growing disparity between supply and demand, the residential sector will be a key focus for MAB moving forward.” MAB has a growth strategy with a strong focus on Melbourne’s residential property market. With an already strong presence in the residential sector, MAB currently has a pipeline in excess of 1,500 dwellings across its NewQuay and University Hill projects. “Kevin’s mandate will be to deliver on our existing projects and to help grow our residential platform moving forward,” said Mr Pahor. |
