Merrifield Business Park Means Business

MAB Corporation and Gibson Property Corporation are jointly developing over 770 hectares into Merrifield, Victoria’s largest, truly sustainable, master-planned mixed use development.

The 300 hectare Merrifield Business Park is strategically located in Melbourne’s northern growth corridor, situated at the corner of the Hume Freeway and Donnybrook Road, Mickleham.

Contributing to the creation of an estimated 20,000 local jobs, Merrifield Business Park offers direct access to current and planned road infrastructure and is a crucial piece of Melbourne’s North Growth Corridor Plan.

Merrifield Business Park will ultimately accommodate a broad range of business operators and attract the level of investment that is fundamental for a thriving and robust local economy.

MAB Corporation Project Director Matthew Planner said business and Government alike acknowledge the crucial national importance of this location when it comes to transport, manufacturing, freight and logistics activities and local job creation.

“We are currently in negotiation with major businesses totalling over 25 hectares of industrial land requirements,” said Mr Planner.

“Merrifield Business Park offers businesses flexibility of lot layout and long-term property solutions, which means we offer businesses the opportunity to reserve land exclusively for future expansion purposes.”

“Offering the option for either land and building packages for sale or lease, with lots ranging from 1 to 50 hectares, Merrifield Business Park is tailored to business’s needs,” he said.

In addition, employment opportunities will arise from the significant retail and services support provided by the new city centre, which will cater for the residents of 4000 new homes.

A significant milestone for the project, Merrifield Living has now launched, the first sod has been turned on-site and construction is well underway. The initial stages will include:
•    131 new residential lots – including the upcoming Merrifield Living Display Village.
•    A multi-million dollar landscape package – including public art, contemporary entry boulevard treatment and the first neighbourhood park featuring leading edge play equipment, basketball half court, trampolines, modern shelters, seating and a barbecue, all of which will be completed in time for when the first Merrifield residents move into their new homes.
•    A new intersection at Donnybrook Road; and
•    Water, power, sewer, gas and optic fibre services along Donnybrook Road.
