The Quays – construction on track

Construction of The Quays remains on schedule at NewQuay. General Manager Project Management Rod Appleby said he is delighted with the progress.

Podium apartments are in the final stages of construction with the builder embarking on final inspections with the architect McBride Charles Ryan. All resident facilities are well underway with the spa and pool areas nearing completion and the atrium on track.

The South tower concrete structure was completed in early June and the internal fit out continues from ground level up to level 24.

“The construction of the facade is at level 25 and our expectation is that the building will be watertight by end of July” said Mr Appleby.

“Once complete, it will be a striking addition to the NewQuay precinct.”

The landmark development comprises 617 apartments and features a podium-based twin tower with a vibrant glass facade.

The ground floor will include a Health Club with a 25 metre swimming pool, spa, sauna, gymnasium and a yoga studio.

On level one, residents will be able to work, relax and entertain in the Residents Club with exclusive access to a library, business centre, private dining room and cinema lounge.

The Podium will be crowned with an expansive rooftop garden adjacent to a tennis court, clubhouse and barbeque facilities.

Very few apartments remain available for sale at The Quays, with one bedroom apartments starting at $468,500.

Substantial stamp duty savings are applicable.
