Industry a hub of fashion, design and entertainment

MAB Corporation’s Industry Business Hub development in South Melbourne is almost 90 percent sold, attracting high profile owner occupiers, particularly from the fashion, design and entertainment sectors.

Six suites recently sold to Condo Fashion, a wholesale fashion agency, with another suite sold to popular Australian musician Mike Brady of ‘Up There Cazaly’ fame to use as a recording studio.

Just six studios are now available at the new commercial precinct, including a prime cafe opportunity.

MAB General Manager, Commercial and Industrial Richard Johnston said Industry Business Hub was designed specifically to offer flexibility.

“We understand the needs of small and medium sized businesses,” said Mr Johnston. “We have worked with the architects to design contemporary warehouse-style studios that provide clean, open workspace for a range of business purposes.”

Melissa Condo of Condo Fashion said she was attracted to Industry Business Hub for a number of reasons.

“The strong urban design and great open space were really appealing,” said Ms Condo. “Coupled with the convenient central location and ample car parking, l felt the business park was ideal for my expanding business.”

Knight Frank Associate Director, Commercial Sales and Leading Elise Betts negotiated the Condo sale, while Tim Grant of Colliers International managed the Mike Brady sale on MAB Corporation’s behalf.

Elisa Betts said Industry Business Hub is offering a unique opportunity.

“There is a distinct lack of modern spaces in inner Melbourne, yet the business sector is seeking new commercial spaces conveniently close to the CBD,” said Ms Betts. “Industry Business Hub ticks these boxes, with the best of South Melbourne, Docklands and Port Melbourne on your doorstep.”

Tim Grant agrees adding, “These sales further highlight the increased demand from Owner Occupiers looking to acquire their own premises as opposed to renting, while also taking advantage of purchasing commercial property within their own self managed superfund.”

Industry Business Hub is located at 87 Gladstone Street, South Melbourne.
